Bessemer.01 /15/ 2024 – In a significant development, the Bessemer Police Department announced the arrest of 26-year-old Kendrick O’Neal in connection with the tragic shooting death of 5-year-old Brandon Nation III. O’Neal now faces charges of capital murder, shedding light on the distressing incident that took place on Sunday, January 7. Nation was fatally shot while getting a haircut at a residence located in the 500 block of 7th Avenue North. Shockingly, the person responsible for cutting the young boy’s hair also sustained injuries during the incident.
