Controversial socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa, also known as Bad Black, has accused singer Chosen Becky of using her son’s health issues to gain attention and views.
On Wednesday, Chosen Becky shared an emotional video in which she tearfully prayed for her son, Hrim Kukiriza, who has been suffering from an undisclosed illness causing breathing difficulties and swollen jaws. The video prompted an outpouring of support and prayers from fans.
Later in the day, Chosen Becky posted another video showing her son in better health, which sparked controversy. Bad Black took to Facebook on Thursday morning to criticize the singer, claiming she was exploiting her son’s condition for publicity.
“Good morning, Chosen Becky. I have taken my time to think about this post. As a single mother of four children, I am in a good position to call you a foolish mother who is chasing clout and views through your child’s condition,” Bad Black wrote.
She continued, “Instead of finding time and the right solution for your son who is fighting for his life, you’re busy taking his videos in such a condition and recording yourself crying. As a mother, you should be a strong soldier willing to do anything for your children. Stop recording the baby and let us find a solution. If hospitals have failed, consider other options. We do hidden things for our children—that’s what being a mother is about.”
Bad Black’s post concluded with a prayer for the child’s recovery, expressing hope that the boy heals from his painful condition.
