Rotarians from District 9123 experienced an electrifying night filled with music and celebration at the 99th Rotary District Conference held at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

The event, hosted by the Rotary Club of Kampala Ssese Island, concluded with a memorable Governor’s Banquet, where Rotarians came together to honor achievements and bid farewell to outgoing leaders while welcoming new ones.

The Governor’s Banquet, which marked the culmination of a three-day extravaganza, allowed Rotarians to reflect on their dedication to service above self and recognize clubs that excelled in community projects.

District Governor Edward Kakembo Nsubuga bid adieu, passing the torch to Governor-elect Ann Nkutu amid an atmosphere of unity and enthusiasm.

Embracing a glamorous Gatsby-era theme, Rotarians dressed in their finest enjoyed a feast of traditional Ugandan delicacies and a selection of Johnnie Walker cocktails, courtesy of a partnership with UBL.

Jackie Tahakanizibwa, representing UBL, highlighted the company’s commitment to community betterment through its association with Rotary.

The evening transitioned from dining to captivating performances as Sheebah Karungi, surprising guests in place of Bebe Cool, took the stage with her hits like “Sweet Sensation” and “Nakyuka.”

Sheebah’s dynamic performance had attendees dancing and singing along, setting the stage for Bebe Cool and his band to continue the excitement with their energetic showmanship.

Bebe Cool’s repertoire, including crowd favorites like “Fire Burn Dem,” “Embozi Zamalwa” (featuring Sauti Sol), and “Wire Wire,” kept the atmosphere electric as Rotarians celebrated into the night.
