Ugandan musician Bebe Cool, born Moses Ssali, has been officially appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC).

The swearing-in ceremony took place today at the Ministry of Gender and Labour offices in Kampala, marking Bebe Cool’s formal induction into this prestigious role.

The UNCC plays a vital role in overseeing and nurturing Uganda’s cultural heritage, with responsibilities that include the management and promotion of the National Theatre and the Nommo Gallery.

Its mission encompasses the development and advancement of performing, literary, and visual arts within Uganda.

Bebe Cool’s appointment to the board comes amid recent developments in the Ministry of Gender, Labour, and Social Development.

Just two weeks ago, Balam Barugahara, a prominent figure in the music and events promotion industry, was appointed as a junior minister for youth within the same ministry.

As a well-known figure in Uganda’s music industry, Bebe Cool brings a wealth of experience and influence to his new role on the UNCC board.
