Singer Chris Banina, known for his hit track “Munakyalo,” has vehemently refuted rumors suggesting romantic involvement with fellow singers Lydia Jazmine and Carol Nantongo, both former best friends.
Addressing the swirling speculations, Banina clarified that both Jazmine and Nantongo are close friends, categorically denying any romantic entanglement with either of them.
He emphasized that their relationship has always been platonic, contrary to media reports insinuating otherwise.
The rift between Jazmine and Nantongo, who were once inseparable, came as a surprise to many fans, given their longstanding friendship and mutual support for each other.
However, their bond began to unravel when they abruptly unfollowed each other on social media and removed traces of their friendship from their respective profiles.
Speculation surrounding their fallout centered on allegations of a romantic entanglement with a mutual acquaintance, initially implicating Eddy Kenzo.
However, Kenzo vehemently denied these accusations, shifting the spotlight to Banina, who shares a close relationship with both Jazmine and Nantongo.
In response to the mounting rumors, Banina asserted that he maintains a cordial friendship with both singers, urging the public to refrain from baseless conjecture tarnishing his reputation.
He emphasized the importance of distinguishing between genuine friendships and unfounded rumors that can inflict unwarranted damage.
“I have heard rumors citing that I am the problem between Lydia Jazmine and Carol Nantongo. People need to know that it’s a lie. I am not the problem, and I have never dated any of them. They are just my friends, and I actually don’t know what their problem is,” Banina clarified.
Despite attempts to mend fences, tensions between Jazmine and Nantongo persist, with Jazmine expressing disappointment over Nantongo’s decision to block her on social media.
Nantongo, on the other hand, has voiced disillusionment with female friendships, opting to prioritize relationships with men.
