Musician, songwriter, and music producer Daddy Andre has taken a swipe at fellow producer Artin Pro, criticizing his production style and branding him more of a DJ than a producer.
Daddy Andre, known for his multifaceted talents in the music industry, expressed his dissatisfaction with Artin Pro’s work, alleging that his productions lack originality and innovation, often sounding outdated and derivative.
Having started his career as a music producer before transitioning to singing, Daddy Andre has always held a high regard for his own abilities and standards.
He emphasized that his involvement in singing is not primarily driven by financial motives but rather by his passion for music and his desire to showcase his talents.
Asserting his expertise and experience in the industry, Daddy Andre claimed that many artists who initially seek out other producers eventually return to him for guidance and advice on their music.
He suggested that this pattern highlights the superior quality of his productions compared to those of other producers.
Expressing his candid opinion on Artin Pro’s work, Daddy Andre stated, “I have my best Ugandan Producers, but Artin Pro is not one of them.
He sounds more like a DJ than a producer. I don’t find the music he has produced good at all.”
While acknowledging that Artin Pro may have a following of admirers, Daddy Andre maintained that, from a musical standpoint, he does not rate his productions highly.
He concluded by affirming the presence of talented producers in Uganda but emphasized that Artin Pro does not meet his personal standards of excellence.
