Singer Edirisa Musuuza, popularly known as Eddy Kenzo, has addressed rumors surrounding his relationship with the newly appointed Minister, Phiona Nyamutooro.
Kenzo clarified that he and Nyamutooro share nothing more than a longstanding friendship that predates their respective fame and achievements.
The singer, who is a father of three children, two of whom are publicly known, expressed his intention to keep his personal life private, particularly due to challenges he has faced in co-parenting his older children.
Speculation about Kenzo’s relationship with Hon. Phiona Nyamutooro arose following her appointment as a Member of Parliament. Kenzo’s public congratulations to Nyamutooro on social media only fueled these rumors.
However, Kenzo dismissed any romantic involvement between them, emphasizing that their relationship is purely platonic.
While acknowledging the public’s curiosity and speculation, Kenzo affirmed his commitment to focusing on his career as an artist and maintaining the privacy of his personal life.
“Phiona Nyamutooro and I are very close friends. We met under ordinary circumstances, and I see no reason to doubt or question our friendship,” said Kenzo.
