NRG Radio has parted ways with prominent social media personality and DJ, Etania Mutoni Ndagire, citing inadequate job performance as the primary reason for her dismissal.
According to sources within the company, management took the decision following a period of unsatisfactory performance despite efforts to support her improvement. In an official statement issued to Ms. Ndagire, the management emphasized the importance of dignity and mutual respect as core values at NRG Radio.
“We have decided, after thorough consideration, to terminate your employment with NRG Radio,” the letter addressed to Ms. Ndagire read. The termination comes after the conclusion of a performance improvement plan as part of the company’s disciplinary process.
Ms. Ndagire, also known for her role as an MC, DJ, and influencer, gained prominence during the COVID-19 lockdowns with her appearances on the NTV mix show. Her reputation as a skilled dancer and vibrant presence on social media contributed to her popularity among fans.
As per the termination notice, Ms. Ndagire is entitled to her salary until July 3rd and is required to return all company property, including identification and a laptop, to the Human Resources office by that date. Additionally, she has been reminded of the non-compete and non-disclosure agreements she signed, which prohibit her from engaging with competitors or disclosing business information.
Currently, Ms. Ndagire is romantically involved with singer Joshua Baraka.
The circumstances surrounding her departure from NRG Radio have sparked considerable interest and discussion within Uganda’s entertainment circles.
