Kampala central member of parliament Hon Muhammad Nsereko has revealed that he is going to make sure that his late best friend Kato Lubwama’s legacy endures.
He said people often forget a creative who worked so hard to take the entertainment industry to another level when they die.
But he promised Kato Lubwama before he died that he will make sure people still remember him everyday and that is what he is doing.
Kato Lubwama died one year ago after a heart attack. He had prepared a concert at Kampala hotel to celebrate all his work for almost 30 years. But unfortunately he didn’t get to the day of the celebration.
During his burial, Hon Muhammad Nsereko said he used to talk to Kato Lubwama everyday. He knew all his plans and what he wanted to do in the future.
The late Kato Lubwama left so much content that wasn’t released to the public. It involved written books, poems, plays and even recorded music. People haven’t got a chance to access that unreleased work.
According to Hon Nsereko, the work will be released in honour of late Kato Lubwama and people will be buying it. He said that he wants to make sure that the young people know who Kato Lubwama was and how talented he was.
“It is one year ever since Kato Lubwama died but us who are still living we have to carry on his legacy. Before and after his death I promised him that I will make sure he is remembered and that is what I am doing right now,”
