Gospel singer Levixone is distancing himself of song theft that is being accused of.
He said he has never stolen a song and there is no way he will ever steal one when he knows how to write a song and the same time surrounded by people who know how to write.
His competitor fellow gospel singer Lanek said that all Levixone’s songs are copied. He said there isn’t any original song in those that have gone viral and those that haven’t.
According to Lanek, Levixone’s new song Hallelujah is a copy and paste of another South African song. He said that whatever he is doing is just destroying the Ugandan music industry especially gospel.
But Levixone didn’t agree with him, he said that all the accusations are not true.
The singer said he wanted an amapiano sound and when he went to the studio he decided to use the general sound of it which most artistes do use.
He said the song might sound like the other songs just because of the common sound he used but the lyrics are his, he didn’t copy anything from anyone.
“I used a general Amapiano sound. I don’t know how I could steal someone’s song and even upload it. I love my work, I love how original I am all those that say I stole the song are just jealousy of me,” – Levixone said.
