Popular singer Yasin Mukasa, known by his stage name Lil Pazo, has disclosed the reasons behind his controversial decision to forbid his wife from attending overnight prayers at church. The musician, famed for hits like “Enkudi,” cited concerns over interference from other women within the church community who he claims were attempting to undermine his marriage.
Pazo expressed his frustration during an interview where he addressed the criticism surrounding his song “Enkudi,” which has sparked debate over its lyrical content being perceived as vulgar.
“I stopped taking my wife to overnight prayers because there are women brokers in church who had started sweet-talking her to dump me and they get her a Godly man claiming I wasn’t fit for her,” Lil Pazo explained frankly.
The singer highlighted that the decision was motivated by his desire to protect his marital relationship from what he perceives as negative influences within certain church circles. He emphasized that such interactions in church were potentially harmful to marriages and could lead to misunderstandings.
Pazo’s revelations come amidst ongoing criticism of his music, with some religious leaders and critics questioning the appropriateness of the language used in his songs. Despite the controversy, Lil Pazo has remained steadfast in defending his artistic expression, dismissing claims of vulgarity associated with his music.
The singer’s comments have sparked discussions about the role of churches in marital dynamics and the influence of peer interactions within religious communities.
