Moses Mbogo, the head of Mozart Pictures, has raised serious complaints against CIC General Insurance for allegedly failing to compensate him despite regular monthly deductions.
Mbogo claims that CIC General Insurance did not fulfill their obligations after a fire ravaged his studios at Equatorial Mall, destroying everything.
Mbogo narrated that after the fire, which gutted the building housing his office and studio, he was directed by his bank, Housing Finance Bank, to contact CIC General Insurance, as his loan was supposedly insured by them.
“When the fire broke out, I immediately reported it to the police, who conducted an assessment. However, when I went back to the bank, they referred me to the insurance company. The people I dealt with there were unprofessional and seemed unaware of the nature of my equipment and its uses,” Mbogo stated.
He further recounted that the insurance company asked for receipts to process the claim, but by the time the assessors arrived—three weeks after the fire—he had already started rebuilding due to losing hope in receiving any compensation.
