Ailing Kawempe North Member of Parliament, Ssegirinya Muhammad, also known as “Mr. Update,” has sparked hope among his supporters with recent photos showing significant improvement in his health.

Ssegirinya has been receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi for the past three months.

Ssegirinya’s health had been a concern since he was granted bail in his case involving allegations of involvement with the Bijambiya Militia, which was accused of a series of brutal attacks in the Masaka region.

Previously, his condition was so poor that supporters urged visitors to stop sharing photos, as they found them distressing.

However, a recent visit by National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary-General Lewis Rubongoya has brought a wave of relief and optimism.

Rubongoya shared a photo of Ssegirinya looking visibly healthier, with a noticeable weight gain and a smile on his face.

“This morning, we checked on Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. Very pleased to see that he is in much better health. He sends greetings to all of you and appreciates you for the solidarity. Let’s continue praying for him,” Rubongoya wrote.

The photo has garnered numerous positive comments from Ugandans expressing their support and well-wishes for Ssegirinya.

One commenter, John Kato, wrote, “It gladdens our heart to see him in a much-improved condition. We wish him a speedy recovery and may God’s grace be upon him.”

Ssegirinya’s supporters remain hopeful for his full recovery as he continues his treatment.
