Famous TikToker Pressure 247 has failed to secure bail for himself once again as he appeared in court today.
The prosecution, represented by Richard Birivumbuka, opposes his release because neither Pressure nor his two sureties have stable addresses where they can be located.
The state argues that due to Pressure’s involvement in attacking high-profile individuals in the country, he is safer behind bars.
Earlier, Pressure 247 informed the court that he is a resident of Kawuga, Mukono. However, today, the letter presented to the court was written by the Chairperson of the Church Zone LC1 in Najjanankumbi, who later disowned him.
Pressure 247 now claims to be a resident of Budaka, which has confused the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate, Ronald Kayizzi.
Additionally, the prosecution suggests that if the court considers granting bail, stringent conditions should be imposed, such as a cash bail of 30 Million Uganda Shillings and the deposit of a land title in Pressure’s name.
City lawyer Male Mabirizi was present in court not only to represent Pressure 247 but also to challenge Chief Magistrate Kayizzi’s authority in the proceedings.
